Who We Are / Beliefs

Our Mission:
"To make disciples of Jesus Christ who love God with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength (Matthew 28:18-20, Mark 12:30)."
Our Vision:
"To be a Sending Church that Shares Christ with Every Community."

Our History:
In June of 1983 the first meeting was lead by Rev. Zac Stutler in the Christian Learning Center at Habersham County High School. As the congregation grew, the present 4.5 acres were purchased and a modular building was placed on the property. The current sanctuary was dedicated on July 1, 1990. During the Spring of 2020, a complete renovation of the sanctuary took place.
Our Movement
The Christian & Missionary Alliance (C&MA) is part of a Christ-centered global movement more than 6 million strong. Our Acts 1:8 family – inspired by Jesus’ love and empowered by His Spirit – is passionate to bring the good news about Him to our neighborhoods and world.
We are a Christ-centered Acts 1:8 family.
-
We are Christ-centered. We celebrate Jesus! He is the image of the invisible God, the Lord of all creation. (“For in Christ, all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, and in Christ you have been brought to fullness.” Colossians 2:9-10) Our heartbeat is to know Jesus as our Savior (Acts 4:12), Sanctifier (1 Corinthians 1:30), Healer (James 5:15), and Coming King (Acts 1:11).
-
We rely on His Spirit. Acts 1:8 is in our DNA. We are convinced it is only by the Holy Spirit’s empowerment that we can fully express Jesus’ love, compassion, and mercy to those who do not know Him. (“… But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8)
-
We are family. We are part of Christ’s Church—His chosen means to fulfill His purposes on earth, restoring a lost and broken world until He returns to reclaim it. (“ …so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.” Romans 12:5)
-
We love our neighbors and our world. Our Central Alliance Church family extends God’s love to everyone we meet. We walk with our neighbors through the steep challenges life brings, introducing them to the One who offers true hope. As part of the worldwide ministry of the Christian and Missionary Alliance, we also participate in sending and supporting hundreds of Alliance international workers who care for the sick, befriend the lonely, and introduce spiritually impoverished people to the One who releases us all from the curse of sin and the sting of death.
